Since 1986 the Clay County Chamber of Commerce has been a voluntary dynamic organization made up of over 300 business and professional people interested in supporting or doing business in Clay County. It's strengths lie in the number and diversity of its membership. Both large and small businesses from virtually every profession are represented and influence investments in our Chamber. THE MEMBERS ARE THE CHAMBER ! The more members it has the better it can represent our business community. It accomplishes collectively what no business can do alone.
What we are NOT:
A department of the city.
A political body
A social, service, welfare or charitable institution.
A private advertising, publicity or public relations agency.
To promote the economic well-being of our local business community.
To aid in the collaboration of business with local government and civic and local organizations.
To provide a better economic climate for businesses to thrive in.
To enhance our quality of life for everyone in our community.
Fourteen members in our local business community make up the Chamber Board with Carmen Lance holding the office of president. They are responsible for setting the goals for our Chamber and bringing these to fruition under the leadership of our Executive Director (Pam Roman), her assistant (Valerie Schechinger) and a number of volunteers. View the list of our members and their picture here.
