Well, this is it what you have all been waiting for the First Annual Punkin Chunkin Fest. This Saturday, November 14, fun begins at 10AM on the Square with the Anything Pumpkin Cook-Off, the Little Miss Punkin Pageant, Chili Cook-Off, the Actual Punkin Chunkin at Riverwalk begins at 1PM, and we will be having a Street Dance with Corn Hole Competition following the Womanless Ms. Chunkin Pageant at 6PM. This will be a fun filled day for everyone. Please come out and enjoy the day weather should be as beautiful as this past weekend FOOD, FUN, & FLYING PUMPKINS! – the Proceeds for this event will benefit the Hayesville High School Scholarship fund. YOU WONT WANT TO MISS THIS!!! I’d like to welcome to our Chamber family the following new businesses; Big Sky Village Apartments in Hiawassee, these apartments are new, get two months rent free on select one bedroom units income restrictions apply, 706-896-6708. The Frog & the Dragon Judy Peppers artist/owner a working studio at the Shoppes in Brasstown, 828-361-3100. To those of you who have been on the Board of Directors the past three years and will be retiring this year THANK YOU for your help and time volunteered to the Chamber of Commerce; the members and Kim & I appreciate what you have done for the betterment of our community.
