Happy New Year - January 2012 Print E-mail

As we begin yet another year, I would first like to take a moment to reflect on 2011. The Chamber had a successful year even though our economic landscape suffered. We at the Chamber of Commerce had the opportunity to work with many of you one on one. In visiting your businesses, selling you advertisements, and getting you more involved with the Community. We thank you all for that.

Over the last twelve months we have had several changes here at the Chamber, I believe now we have a smooth running operation. Valerie Schechinger and I, our Volunteers and the members of the Chamber Board have worked well together and we look forward to the upcoming year promoting Clay County and your businesses.

The dates for 2012 Chamber events have been partially set and all of these events require lots of attention and VOLUNTEERS, a perfect way to get your business involved with community functions and your company name out there. REMEMBER: it’s not only customer service that counts; NAME RECOGNITION plays a big part of it too. And for some that is putting a name with a face.

Clay County has several organizations that support the community and one of them is Clay County Historical & Arts Council, another important organization is the Clay County Communities Revitalization Association.

If you have any questions or concerns about the Chamber, what it's function is, how to get involved, or even suggestions, please do not hesitate to give us a call. Improvements can always be made to any organization or business!

Please visit the Chamber website www.ncmtnchamber.com for the updated Chamber Calendar.

We look forward to helping you promote your business throughout 2012, hope you all have a Prosperous NEW YEAR!
